Ayurveda and Thai Yoga Therapy share a common historical lineage that dates back to the beginnings of Vedic philosophy some five thousand years ago.
L'ayurveda comes originally from India and is the most ancient medical system of the world. It gives a holistic approach for better understanding our individual nature aiming to a more balanced, healthy life.
The first step of an Ayurvedic treatment is to fill out a questionnaire to establish your tridoshic constitution. From then on, the massage therapist is able to customized the massage according to your needs. Furthermore, for those interested in learning more about this approach and get the most out of its beneficial effects, will receive advise on nutrition and physical activities to improve their health and balance and helping them to begin the path towards the Ayurvedic knowledge.
How it works?
According to Ayurveda, eveything in the universe is composed of the following five elements: ether, air, fire, water and earth. And these elements are present in our own physical and mental bodies and combine to form three vital forces (tridoshas). These forces are present , in each one of us, in different proportions. Our pulse, taste, aversions, tendencies are all affected by these forces. Ayurveda shows us , our unique proportion (called doshas) and gives us advise on everything, from which type of massage is better for our constitution, which food is more beneficial and practical tips on everyday life ,aiming for an optimal balance of these forces in your body. This general "cleaning" becomes the way towards living in harmony.
